The triumvirate of R.S.T. proves power in their first magazine cover together: Preview Magazine May 2013 edition featuring our past Miss Universe bets for the last three years in Venus Raj, Shamcey Supsup and Janine Tugonon were garbed in Burberry and possess gold skin tones in their cover.
 
How we wish it came earlier in lieu of Binibining Pilipinas Gold, but well, this is a perfect feat for the ladies who brought us back to the Miss Universe Top 5 stage.

Elaine Kay Moll & Annalie Forbes: 2012 Ladies in Waiting for Another Year?

With SMA and BPCI changing rules in the recently concluded Bb. Pilipinas 2013 last April 14, we didn't see a repeat that happened for two consecutive years where runners-up took the risk of their placements (with 2010 1st Runner Up Dianne Necio joining in 2011 and 2011 Runners-up Janine Tugonon (who later on became Miss Universe Philippines 2012) and Mary Jean Lastimosa joining the 2012 edition). Elaine Kay Moll and Annalie Forbes awarded their respective successors in Mutya Datul and Pia Wurtzbach.


Elaine still maintained the title Bb. Pilipinas 2012 1st RU, it was evident during the Coronation Night that she was introduced separately during the Farewell to the Queens  that she was recognized as Miss Supranational 2012 3rd RU and not Miss Supranational Philippines. If this means that SMA/BPCI will give her the green light to compete in 2014 or 2015, that we just have to find out. Age-wise, Elaine is going on 22 something, enough time to join if she wants to. 

 Found out through another pageant blog that Elaine Kay Moll, recognized as Miss Supranational 2012 3rd RU is no longer eligible to join future editions of Bb. Pilipinas.

 

Annalie Forbes meanwhile is probably one of JDV's top gems right now for winning 2nd RU in 2012. Though she is short height-wise, I do believe a return trip to the Binibini will not be far from impossible. While waiting for their contracts to end in October, you may probably see her mounting on several concerts, just as "Invincible" which happened last month.

Miss Scuba Philippines 2012 Janicel Lubina was crowned as Miss Bikini Philippines 2013.
 
Held last Thursday, April 25, 2013, Lubina bested 32 other bets and succeeded Abbygale Monderin (who recently competed at Bb. Pilipinas Gold) to represent the Philippines on either Miss Bikini International (in China) or Miss Bikini World (in Europe).

While we've posted during the Binibining Pilipinas 2013 Finals Night that Candidate#47, Aiyana Camille "AJ" Mikiewicz was Miss JAG for 2013, a lot were surprised that the lady didn't had the award during the coronation night itself (i really don't get what happened).
 
The award was handed to AJ during the Meet & Greet of this year's Bb. Pilipinas 2013 winners (Ara, Bea, Cindy, Mutya and Pia) while this may seem late, we've felt that AJ deserves to be awarded and maybe it would open up a lot more opportunities for her in maybe, another try in a pageant.

Angelee Claudett Delos Reyes: Will she get to represent the country to Miss Earth?

Just as we are done with Bb. Pilipinas 2013, we now go to another pageant: Miss Philippines-Earth 2013. I always try to look at fan pages before making my sound judgment but I can't help really have my eye on several contestants, one of them is Angelee Claudett Delos Reyes.

Credentials are intensive: She was Miss Bikini Philippines 2011, a semifinalist at Bb. Pilipinas 2012 with the award Best in Long Gown, represented the Philippines to Supermodel International where she was part of the Top 10 so I can understand why there is no stopping this girl to have a national title and succeed Stephany Stefanowitz to become Miss Philippines Earth 2013.

Ariella Arida: From MPE 2012 to Miss Universe Philippines 2013

It is very amazing on how a year can lead to a transformation.
 
I saw a picture of Ariella Arida, this year's Miss Universe Philippines during her Miss Philippines-Earth 2012 stint where she represented Municipality of Alaminos, Laguna. I must have admitted that the girl really had the goal in mind and last Sunday, it reaped fruit as she leads the golden batch of Binibini queens.

Pia Wurtzbach: The Sole Runner Up for 2013

With Ara (MUP 2013), Bea (BBP International), Cindy (BBP Tourism) and Mutya (BBP Supranational) starting to gear up for their respective competitions, the fifth member of the golden batch, the sole runner-up for 2013 Pia Wurtzbach is left to join them in BPCI trainings & guestings, something that even this blog didn't expect to happen.

While a second-tier pageant may be possible, I hope that Pia gets to have the chance to join the 2014 edition of Bb. Pilipinas. For now, she would benefit from the trainings she would get and probably, prepare for the future editions of Binibining Pilipinas.

While we wrap up the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 coverage with Ariella Arida (Miss Universe Philippines 2013), Bea Santiago (Bb. Pilipinas International), Joanna Cindy Miranda (Bb. Raj, Supsup, Tugonon... ARIDA...

It ain't the prophetic R-S-T-U, but newly crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2013 Ariella Arida is ready to handle the pressure of at least maintaining the streak that the country has with Miss Universe.
 
The 24 years old Chemistry graduate from UPLB leads this year's golden batch of beauties and with the pressure following the placements of Venus Raj, Shamcey Supsup and Janine Tugonon in Miss Universe, Ariella knows it ain't easy, but definitely with the guidance of the three, BPCI and of course of Jonas Gaffud, Ariella would have the right attitude for Miss Universe 2013.

As a pageant fan myself, 2012 has been a colorful year for Bb. Pilipinas, with Janine placing as 1st Runner Up in Miss Universe 2012, Nicole being the Top 15 Semifinalist in Miss International and Elaine doing well to become Miss Supranational 2012 3rd Runner Up,  the girls deserve to exit with a bang, while they would be going back slowly to their lives (they are on an 18-month contract to expire on October), we wish them all the best with all the opportunities they would meet after Binibini (perhaps another try for Ali Forbes or Elaine Moll on 2014).

Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Winners

The 50th edition of Bb. Pilipinas will happen Sunday, April 14, 2013, when Janine Tugonon (Miss Universe 1st Runner Up), Nicole Schmitz (Bb. Pilipinas International), Katrina Jayne Dimaranan (Bb. Pilipinas Tourism) and Elaine Kay Moll (Miss Supranational 3rd RU 2012) would crown their successors at the end of the event.o

This year's edition will also honor the 50 beautiful years of Bb. Pilipinas which attributed to 5 titles (2 in Miss Universe and 3 in Miss International), several runners-up finishes on the Miss Universe, World and International pageants, semifinalist appearances in Big 4 pageants and placements of BPCI appointed delegates in other pageants.

The event is to be broadcasted from Smart Araneta Coliseum at 8 PM  with delayed telecast at 9:30 PM with Martin Nievera, Dawn Zulueta, Miss Universe Philippines 2010 Venus Raj and Miss Universe Philippines 2011 Shamcey Supsup.

Is it the start of the Bb. Pilipinas - Supranational crown?

While there is no official announcement whether Bb. Pilipinas Supranational / Miss Supranational Philippines 2013 would officially be awarded, last Saturday's 2013 Parade of Beauties saw 4 reigning queens: Janine Tugonon (2012 Miss Universe Philippines), Nicole Schmitz (Bb. Pilipinas - International), Katrina Jayne Dimaranan (Bb. Pilipinas Tourism) and Elaine Kay Moll, who was the 1st Runner Up last year and was appointed by Madam Stella Marquez Araneta to represent the country to Miss Supranational.

During the 2013 Parade of Beauties, Elaine was wearing the 2012 Miss Supranational 3rd Runner Up sash, a recognition for her achievement in the pageant and a crown, a better crown indeed from the tiara she used when she was introduced as Miss Supranational Philippines last August. If this is the start of BPCI handing out Miss Supranational Philippines crown, they would probably do so for this year in celebration of Binibini Gold. 6 placements? Why not?

Highlights of the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Parade of Beauties

The Annual Parade of Beauties for Bb. Pilipinas this year happened April 6, Saturday, 50 girls along with the reigning queens Janine Tugonon, Nicole Schmitz, Katrina Dimaranan & Elaine Kay Moll conquered the heat of the summer sun as they show to the public the contestants for Bb. Pilipinas 2013.

Meet the new Candidate Number 35 for Bb. Pilipinas 2013

It is still a fight between 50 girls after all.

Meet Henna Kaizelle Nicole "KC" Cajandig, a 20 year old GenSan beauty who was chosen to replace Theresa Fenger after the latter resigned in connection with the racy photos she had with FHM with her singing group, Eurasia where she was known to be as "Lana Roi."

While many doubt her chances as she is too late from the 49 other girls who are vying for a Bb. Pilipinas crown, her credentials is something to be proud of. She represented the Philippines in the 2009 edition of World Supermodel in Taiwan. She also took part in the Ford Models' Supermodel of the World (Philippine Edition in 2008), where she was placed among the Top 3 finalists.

Watch KC and 49 other Binibini hopefuls on the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Finals Night on April 14 as they compete to suceed Janine Tugonon (Miss Universe Philippines), Nicole Schmitz (Bb. Pilipinas International) and Katrina Dimaranan (Bb. Pilipinas Tourism).

Nathalie Den Dekker is Miss CHI 2013

The new Miss Chi 2013 has been named, it is Nathalie Den Dekker, Miss Universe Netherlands for 2012 who represented the country to the Miss Universe pageant last December.
 
The crowning took place March 10th at the Farouk Systems’ stand at the annual America’s Beauty Show taking place at the McCormick place in downtown Chicago. Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo is present in the event.
 
Den Dekker will serve as a spokesperson for the popular hair care brand for a year.

My Binibining Pilipinas 2013 Predictions

I joined the prediction game for Bb. Pilipinas 2013 in Missosology (missMA is my handle), the last time I did this was last year where I got 8 out of the 12 semifinalists, now I am releasing my predictions early, you can disagree with mine but this is based on what I see.

With 50 gorgeous girls for Bb. Pilipinas 2013, I have decided to predict 15 semifinalists, with 5 titleholders which I predict has the possibility of rocking our worlds.
