Bb. Pilipinas 2015: How about a competition for Hannah and Kim?

While I was also equally giddy that Parul (who was for my case a wasted beauty at first until the Press Conference last Thursday for the 2014 batch) and Ann (reigning BBP-Tourism), I was kinda looking at Bb. Pilipinas 1st Runner Up Hannah Ruth Sison and Bb. Pilipinas 2nd Runner Up Kimverlyn Suiza who I thought was worthy of a sash to represent the Philippines as well.

But as we all know, Runners-up in BPCI are the ladies in waiting if the main winners are not available (whether they are resigned, dethroned et. al) which Hannah and Kim are tasked to do. If they were a bit younger, we might ask them to join next year, but sadly, they are not.

I'm kinda praying for the two to represent the country, are you with me? , , , ,

It's now official.
Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2014 Parul Shah is the appointed delegate for Miss Grand International 2015 which will happen on Bangkok, Thailand on October 26, 2015. Parul is scheduled to leave the country on October 4, 2015.
Meanwhile, reigning Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2015 Ann Lorraine Colis will be the country's delegate to Miss Globe 2015 on October 11, 2015. Ann will be leaving on September 20, 2015.

John De La Vega: MGI Franchise now with Bb. Pilipinas

John De La Vega, National Director of Miss Grand Philippines breaks his silence

Before the reported Press Conference of Bb. Pilipinas today, John De La Vega took it on his Facebook account to wish Madam Stella Marquez Araneta luck as it now holds the Miss Grand Philippines franchise, ending the rumors which started when Miss Grand International founder Nawat Itsaragrisil posted the logo of the Bb. Pilipinas pageant.

Now, who shall Madam appoint? Will it be Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2015 Ann Lorraine Colis, Bb. Pilipinas 2015 1st Runner Up Hannah Ruth Sison or last year's winner of Bb. Pilpinas Tourism Parul Shah?

Fil-Am Beauty Juanne Aquino reigns as Bb. Pilipinas USA 2015

Congratulations to the Binibining Pilipinas USA 2015 titleholders, from L to R: Eriel Uy, 3rd RU; Megan Culp, Binibining Pilipinas USA Tourism; Juanne Aquino, Binibining Pilipinas USA 2015; Heather Casignia, 1st RU; Angelica Alberto, 2nd RU.

20 year old Los Angeles resident Juanne Elisha Aquino walked away with numerous special awards which included Binibining Best in Talent, Binibining Philippine Airlines and Binibining Best in Evening Gown before landing the top crown in the 3rd Edition of the Binibining Pilipinas USA pageant produced by Insider Productions held this year at the Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, CA with movie actor Gabby Concepion and beauty queen Venus Raj as hosts. 

Binibining Pilipinas USA is a US-based search aimed to promote the beauty, grace and elegance to compete in an international level. As what your blogger has observed, BBP-USA had their own causes, making them an important competition for Fil-Am beauties throughout the country.

Completing this year's BBP-USA court are as follows: 
Binibining Pilipinas USA –Tourism - #18 Megan Lago Culp 
1st Runner Up – #1 Heather Prejillana Casignia
2nd Runner Up – #17 Angelica Concepcion Alberto
3rd Runner Up – #13 Eriel Uy

Special Awards were also given to the following ladies: 
Binibining Friendship - #12 Jill Marucut
Binibining Social Media - #17 Angelica Concepcion Alberto
Binibining Popularity - #1 Heather Prejillana Casignia
Binibining People’s Choice - #15 Jennalyn Raquel Lopez

The BBP-USA contest was a star-studded event with 12 judges chaired by Fritz Friedman which included actress Tia Carrere and Miss Universe 2013 3rd Runner Up Ariella Arida. Also within the event, another surprise judge came about with Black Eyed Peas Apl.De.Ap who performed "Be" with The Voice of the Philippines Season 1 finalist, Jessica Reynoso. 

The Top 5 ladies for this year's Bb. Pilipinas-USA are invited to the Philippines for a tourism promotion trip where they are also to see the top destinations within the country. 

The organizers of the contest also announced that they have plans to launch the Binibining Pilipinas Teen USA pageant, open to ladies 14-17 years old next summer.

By now, Juanne and her court are busy with activities like sponsor visits like they recently met with passengers and top executives of the Official Airline Partner of BBP-USA in Philippine Airlines.

New Franchise for Bb. Pilipinas?

Pageant fans here in the Philippines grew wild when Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil, franchise owner of Miss Grand International posted a logo of the Bb. Pilipinas pageant.

The Facebook account was confirmed to be Nawat's official presence which sparked rumors that Miss Grand Philippines will officially be with Bb. Pilipinas probably next year and rumors even sparked that Hannah Ruth Sison (to which she denied herself) will be competing in Miss Grand International 2015.

Truth be told, Nawat has been on all types of controversies already, Miss Earth Organization has decided to drop him as franchise owner for that leaving Sasi Sintawee behind, but if this would materialize eventually, your blogger would want to have the thought of Ann Lorraine Colis or Parul Shah (BBP-Tourism 2014) joining. If not let's keep our fingers crossed for another Miss Tourism Queen International please? , , ,

Sunday Throwback: The Very First Miss Earth Court

As the Miss Earth Organization celebrates its 15th Year, Your blogger goes down to memory lane as it features the elemental court from Miss Earth 2001 held last October 28, 2001 at the UP Theater, then won by Denmark’s Catharina Svensson.

Below was also the throwback posted by the Miss Earth Organization: The very first Miss Earth desk calendar featuring the 2001 court which includes Catharina (Miss Earth), Simone (Miss Earth - Wind), Margarita (Miss Earth - Water) and Daniela (Miss Earth-Fire) 


Indeed, Carousel Productions through the Miss Earth Organization has indeed became successful with their respective advocacies for the last 15 years and as the excitement rears the 15th Edition to be held on Vienna, Austria on December 5, we congratulate the Miss Earth Org for withstanding the trials and maintaining its cause amidst every trial that may came their way. 

Who would Jamie Herrell of the Philippines crown on Austria? How will Angelia Ong, Miss Philippines Earth 2015 fair? Will another Catharina Svennson or Tereza Fajksova (ME 2012) rise to the top in Austria?

Miss Global Philippines goes to Ilocos Sur

Last August 3, 2015, The winners of Miss Global 2014 lead by reigning queen Ela Mino, Miss Global 2nd Runner Up and reigning Miss Global Philippines Catherine Marie Almirante and the 2015 Miss Global Philippines Candidates were all in Vigan, Ilocos Sur for a series of charity events to promote tourism and attend to the causes of the city.

Miss Tourism Philippines: 3 of 4 goes to Laguna

The Province of Laguna turned to be the major winner during the 2015 edition of Miss Tourism Philippines held last Thursday, July 30, 2015 with 3 of the 4 titleholders coming from the province. The winners are as follows:

Miss Tourism Philippines WORLD  - Roanne Refrea of Cabuyao City, Laguna
Miss Tourism Philippines UNIVERSE  -  Rian Charlotte Kalaw of Lipa City, Batangas 
Miss Tourism Philippines ECO-TOURISM INTERNATIONAL  - Leidda Paulette Babasanta of Sta. Rosa, Laguna
Miss Tourism Philippines ASEAN TOURISM AMBASSADRESS - Alexandra Mae Rosales of Calamba City, Laguna
