Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Nichole Manalo out to conquer Bb. Pilipinas stage

On my list for Bb. Pilipinas 2014 is Nichole Marie R. Manalo, if the name does ring a bell, she is the youngest sister of the Manalo beauty queens Katherine (BBP World 2002 and Miss World 2002 Finalist) and Pamela Bianca (Miss Universe Philippines 2009). She is also the niece of the first BBP-International, Nini Ramos, which makes beauty pageants really in her pedigree.

While some may say that Nichole got in the Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Official Candidates with the merit of her sisters, I could see this 24 year old as a shocker come the coronation night. She also said in one of her interviews that if she were to choose the title she'll win, She'd like to win BBP-International.

Watch on March 30 if Nichole Manalo can be the next Miss Universe Philippines as she and 39 other candidates fight it out on the 51st Edition of Bb. Pilipinas for the four crowns: Miss Universe Philippines 2014, Bb. Pilipinas International, Miss Supranational Philippines and Bb. Pilipinas Tourism.

Highest Team JDV delegate for Bb. Pilipinas 2014 is Miss Grand Philippines 2014

John Dela Vega's selection as franchise director of Miss Grand Philippines for this year becomes easier as it was advertised that the highest Team JDV delegate during the finals of Bb. Pilipinas 2014 will represent the country to Miss Grand International 2014.

If the highest JDV delegate wins any of the  four crowns (Universe, International, Supranational and Tourism), the second lady gets to join Miss Grand International.

Last year, JDV's top ward in 2012, Bb. Pilipinas 1st RU Ali Forbes represented the country to the very first Miss Grand International placing 3rd RU.

While Bb. Pilipinas 2014 goes on the thick of things, it is now time to place the attention to Miss Philippines-Earth 2014. The eventual successor of Miss Philippines Earth 2013 and Miss Earth 2013 Finalist Angelee Delos Reyes will represent the country in Miss Earth 2014 on still an undisclosed date and place this year.
Deadline for applications is on March 7, 2014.

Bb. Pilipinas 2014 gets hotter with those who would like to have another shot with the title, two of which, like from my early features are Mary Jean Lastimosa and Diana Arevalo.

Arevalo and Lastimosa basically has the same features and amount of experience with BPCI with MJ having a slight edge as she made it to the Top 5 in 2011. Will one of them be the next Miss Universe Philippines?

A leading contender and possibly a shoo-in after all the callbacks is Kimverlyn Suiza, the reigning MPE-Air who wants to conquer the Binibini stage after being a bridesmaid at the Miss Philippines-Earth 2013 competition won by Angelee Delos Reyes.

Kim who is now part of the A&Q gives me a headache on how to join prediction games. Honestly, those MPE winners (Suiza and Asanion) can give those who are BBP repeaters. 

Will Kim do a Venus Raj and win the crown?

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Janine Asanion from MPE files for BBP 2014

Aside from Kimverlyn Suiza (reigning Miss Philippines-Air), another lady this time from Kagandahang Flores filed her application for Bb. Pilipinas 2014. Janine Asanion, who represented San Marcelino, Zambales and entered Miss Philippines-Earth 2013 where she was adjudged as runner-up was among 6 of the KF bets who filed for screenings in the forthcoming competition.

Surely we can see Kim and Janine in pictures once the two make it to the official candidates. Will Janine represent KF to the crown?

After a 2013 banner year for Bb. Pilipinas, 2014 is definitely a year to look forward to. Deadline for applications for Bb. Pilipinas 2014 is until Wednesday, January 15. Early applicants include crossovers like reigning MPE-Air Kimverlyn Suiza, pageant repeaters like Parul Shah and first-timers from A&Q, Kagandahang Flores and Team JDV.

Reigning queens are Ariella Arida (Miss Universe 3rd RU), Bea Rose Santiago (Miss International 2013), Joanna Cindy Miranda (Bb. Pilipinas Tourism), Mutya Datul (Miss Supranational 2013)

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Pageant Repeaters Anyone?

The 5 girls on photo are so called Bb. Pilipinas Recycled Beauties, ladies reportedly filed/filing application until January 15, 2014. They had managed to elicit different reactions, but really no one can stop them from joining.

Pia Wurtzbach, Parul Shah, Hannah Ruth Sison and Anna Fernandina Buquid are just fresh from last year's Binibini Gold while Mary Jean Lastimosa will try for the third time to get a BBP crown.


Who are your favorites in this so called pageant repeaters? I strongly believe all 5 will make it official candidates.

With lots of comebacking queens for Bb. Pilipinas 2014 come another winner, should I say in Mary Jean Lastimosa who will submit her application for Binibini for the last time. Various websites, fanpages and groups (which include I am MJ All the Way) confirm the participation of the 2011 2nd RU and 2012 BBP Semifinalist which egged on various reactions like "GO PUSH", or the negative ones that she should give BBP a rest..

Lastimosa, 26, made waves as she jumped from Jonas Gaffud's Aces and Queens to Rodgil Flores' Kagandahang Flores.

Will she be like Maricar Balagtas (BBP 2000, 2001 and 2004) who won the top crown on her third try as 2004 Miss Universe Philippines?

Katrina Jayne Dimaranan: Should she join Miss World Philippines 2014?

Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2012 Katrina Dimaranan recently expressed her thoughts of joining another beauty contest and why not, for all the 2012 winners from BPCI (Janine, Nicole, Katrina, Elaine and Ali), She was left emptyhanded with no international competition as the two runners-up Elaine and Ali had their fair share of contest with Miss Supranational 2012 (where Elaine was 3rd RU) and just recently, Ali Forbes was appointed as Miss Grand International PH where she was 3rd RU.

Should she give Miss World Philippines a go? Can BPCI do some tweaking and give her another chance (I hope against hope)? That will have to wait for this year...
