Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Pia Wurtzbach, which fate will she be in come March 30?

 

I've tried my best to keep abreast with the Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Press Presentation Youtube Videos and true enough, my eyes were carefully looking at Pia Wurtzbach, last year's 1st Runner Up out to claim her place in the 51st year of Bb. Pilipinas.

Pageant fans had their own stigmas on runners-up, they may either end up a notch higher or a clapper, take for example Dianne Necio and Janine Tugonon, two of those successful ladies who came back after they were 1st Runner Up. Necio was a runner-up in 2010 and Bb. Pilipinas International in 2011 while Tugonon was a runner-up in 2011 and eventually, Miss U 2012 1st Runner Up. They may also end up to be a notch lower, or simply term it as clappers: Abigail Cruz was a 2nd Runner Up in 2007 but was unplaced in 2009. MJ Lastimosa, a current Bb. Pilipinas candidate also fell short of a place as she ended up to be in the Top 12 in 2012 after being 2nd Runner Up in 2011.

My hunch will be Pia will enter the semifinals, but to claim the Miss Universe Philippines crown from Ariella Arida may be a long road ahead. If Pia wins, it's because of sheer effort and preparation, not for the fact that she spent the entire year with BPCI. I strongly believe that Aces and Queens or Pia for that matter want only the best come pageant night, and that I am looking forward to as well.
