From 2008, the Philippines had always been on the semifinalist of Miss International, that is Pat Fernandez (2008), the late Melody Gersbach (2009), Krista Kleiner (2010), Dianne Necio (2011) and Nicole Schmitz (2012) which makes Philippines one of the powerhouses in MI, this year, BPCI will be sending Bea Rose Monterde Santiago, Bb. Pilipinas International 2013 to Tokyo, Japan come December 17.
Bea is not new to winning pageants, she was Mutya ng Pilipinas 2011 Overseas Communities and she was the country's representative to Miss Tourism Queen of the Year 2012 prior to joining BBP Gold.
