Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013 is on!

The above picture shows you the schedule of auditions which started last week in Cagayan De Oro. In case you have missed it there auditions will still be in Mindanao on Saturday, May 18.

There would be a lot of high hopes for Mutya ng Pilipinas as they have accomplished a feat last year with Rizzini Alexis Gomez in the Miss Tourism International 2012/2013 pageant. Rizzini (Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism) and Camille Guevarra, who represented the country to Miss Intercontinental are the reigning queens.

 

The 1st Miss United Continent pageant will be held in  Guayaquil this September.

 

Another new pageant opens its doors to the world as Miss Continente Americano will now be known as Miss United Continent, whose 2013 edition will be held on September 14, 2013 in Guayaquil, Ecuador (South America).

 

The decision of expanding Miss Continente Americano worldwide was because of the strong international recognition of the extraordinary success of the pageant. The franchise owner, Maria del Carmen de Aguayo is also the director of Miss Ecuador.

Former Bb. Pilipinas 2013 candidate Aiyana Camille Mikiewicz (Candidate #47) joins the 32 candidates for Miss Tourism World Philippines 2013 and vie for the opportunity to succeed Meryll Angeline King in becoming the next Miss Tourism Philippines (the organizers had to drop the "World" tag in Miss Tourism World due to licensing problems with Miss World of Julia Morley).

Aiyana or "AJ" was Miss JAG 2013 in the recent Bb. Pilipinas pageant. 

 

 

Just when she thought she would be coming back to her old life, Bb. Pilipinas 2013 candidate Mercegrace Raquel is off to Barbados, this time for Miss Humanity International 2013.

 

If the pageant is not familiar to you, Miss Humanity International is a pageant that promotes beauty on a mission. While the pageant is not as big name as others, the opportunity to represent the country is something girls look forward to. For our country, John Dela Vega is the go-to-guy of Miss Humanity International and for 2 years, he has appointed successful delegates in Czarina Catherine Gatbonton (2011) and Ayelee Marie Dasalla (2012) who were both part of Miss humanity International Top 5.

 

We wish Mercegrace the luck in the Barbados contest and hopefully, she may get the chance to win the crown.

Recycled crown or not (this was talked about in numerous pageant forum sites as this was a part of the costume of Janine Tugonon during Miss Universe 2012), no one can't deny the charisma and beauty of Miss Supranational Philippines 2013 Mutya Johanna Datul. 

While she is the first Binibini titleholder who knows when her competition will be (Miss Supranational 2013 Finals in on September 6 in Belarus), the lady is busy joining Ariella Arida, Bea Rose Santiago, Joanna Cindy Miranda and Pia Wurtzbach on guestings and events as this year's Binibini Gold queens. When it comes to preparation to the Supra pageant, she has Elaine Kay Moll to help her.

Based on previous interviews of Miss Supranational 2012 3rd RU Elaine Kay Moll, there is no Q&A portion within the pageant, just an interview portion before the contest. However, it would be nice to see Mutya brush up on her communication skills which may help her be the first Asian to win the Supra crown.
