I am no fortune-teller, but what if the photo above is the Top 3 of Bb. Pilipinas 2014? 

Minus the Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2014 crown, The 3 crowns at stake fit three of these gorgeous ladies. For me it can be Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti for Supranational, Pia Wurtzbach for Universe and Kris Janson for International.

But then again, there are still 37 other ladies to look forward to, or the order of them being crowned maybe different but then again, if this happens, do not forget that Beauty Queens Online said it.. (big grin).

Miss Philippines Earth 2014: Mary Ann Ross Misa is the first A&Q candidate

Aces and Queens makes their first entry to Miss Philippines Earth 2014 with Mary Ann Ross Misa, Ross, who was supposed to join Bb. Pilipinas 2014 but later on back out of the contest was a semifinalist in Bb. Pilipinas 2010 and 1st Princess of Queenie Rehman in the Miss World Philippines 2012 contest.

Miss Philippines Earth 2014: Crystal Aberasturi, a clear front runner?

As the buzz came last year that Angelee Claudett Delos Reyes joined Miss Philippines-Earth 2014, everyone knew she was a clear frontrunner until Stephany Stefanowitz crowned her to represent the country to Miss Earth 2013. This year, if all system goes, there are a handful front runners for MPE 2014, the first one was Monique Manuel and my next is Crystal Star Aberasturi.

Crystal was a part of the Miss Cebu 2014 where she was 4th Runner Up. Prior to that, she joined Miss Mandaue where she was acknowledged as Miss Mandaue 2011 even if officially she was 1st Runner Up as the winner left for abroad. 

Submission for MPE 2014 is still until March 7, 2014 so I don't want to close my mind on this, but for now, I place Crystal as an MPE semifinalist (I don't want to entertain any biases here)...

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Pia Wurtzbach, which fate will she be in come March 30?

I've tried my best to keep abreast with the Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Press Presentation Youtube Videos and true enough, my eyes were carefully looking at Pia Wurtzbach, last year's 1st Runner Up out to claim her place in the 51st year of Bb. Pilipinas.

Pageant fans had their own stigmas on runners-up, they may either end up a notch higher or a clapper, take for example Dianne Necio and Janine Tugonon, two of those successful ladies who came back after they were 1st Runner Up. Necio was a runner-up in 2010 and Bb. Pilipinas International in 2011 while Tugonon was a runner-up in 2011 and eventually, Miss U 2012 1st Runner Up. They may also end up to be a notch lower, or simply term it as clappers: Abigail Cruz was a 2nd Runner Up in 2007 but was unplaced in 2009. MJ Lastimosa, a current Bb. Pilipinas candidate also fell short of a place as she ended up to be in the Top 12 in 2012 after being 2nd Runner Up in 2011.

My hunch will be Pia will enter the semifinals, but to claim the Miss Universe Philippines crown from Ariella Arida may be a long road ahead. If Pia wins, it's because of sheer effort and preparation, not for the fact that she spent the entire year with BPCI. I strongly believe that Aces and Queens or Pia for that matter want only the best come pageant night, and that I am looking forward to as well.

Miss Philippines-Earth 2014: Monique Manuel steps foot in the competition

Taking a break from Bb. Pilipinas to blog about Miss Philippines-Earth, one lady that caught my attention was Monique Manuel, who made it to the official list of candidates representing Dinalupihan, Bataan. Monique is no stranger to Miss Philippines-Earth as she joined in 2009 where she was part of the Top 10. In 2011, she joined Bb. Pilipinas where she made it to the official candidates.

Will Monique do an Angelee Delos Reyes and finally win the Miss Philippines-Earth crown?

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti for Miss Universe PH

Another choice that comes into mind for Miss Universe Philippines is Fil-Brazilian Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti or just simply, Bianca. Bianca speaks English, Filipino and Portugese fluently, She's one of the tallest candidates in this competition and is not afraid to deliver herself in front of a huge crowd. She can give Parul Shah, Pia Wurtzbach, Mary Jean Lastimosa and Yvethe Santiago a run for the top crown and definitely with the A & Q in her fold to polish her, getting the top crown from camp sister Ariella Arida is not next from impossible.

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Emin coming over on the Finals Night

Russian Pop-star Emin is reportedly coming over to the Philippines for the Bb. Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night. The pop star, known for his songs "Amor" and "In Another Life" adds glitz to what is already an exciting pageant event that will also see reigning Miss Universe Gabriela Isler as a judge and would help in crowning the winners and Miss Universe President Paula Shugart as a VIP guest.

Definitely an exciting event indeed. :)

Miss International 1st Runner Up in Manila

Miss International 2013 1st Runner Up Nathalie Den Dekker of the Netherlands is currently in Manila to donate the money they have raised through a project amounting to 30,000 euros. She is also here for some public appearances and endorsements. 

Den Dekker is a national titleholder who was crowned as Miss Tourism International in 2010. She also participated in Miss Universe 2012 in Las Vegas where she was named as Miss CHI 2013 and Miss World 2012 in Inner Mongolia, Ordos, China.

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Why your blogger banks on Mary Jean Lastimosa's quest for a crown

There is such a saying of third-time lucky, there's a saying that try and try until you succeed, maybe this is the mantra of Mary Jean Lastimosa, on why she joined again for the third time after being 2nd Runner Up in 2011 and a finalist in 2012. While she's on the other end of criticisms and positive remarks, your blogger banks on MJ's quest to finally landing a crown on her head.

If my memory serves me right, at 26 (MJ's current age), she can only win Miss Universe & Supranational (feel free to correct me here if I am wrong). I'd like to see her win MU for Kagandahang Flores because I see the "queenly" vibe now than before, not to take anyway from A&Q but I think KF has given MJ the right package this time around. Only the Q&A will be a telling factor, but experience-wise, I think MJ will be close to winning with the right answer this time.

I'll give my round 1 picks soon, and the Aces and Queens lady whom I feel has the strongest chance of winning Miss Universe Philippines.

Battle of the Handlers for the 2014 pageant season

A predominant Aces and Queens BBP '13 winners 

 It has always been a close battle between three groups who have conquered the pageant scene: Jonas Gaffud's Aces and Queens , Kagandahang Flores and Team John Dela Vega, whoever gets the upperhand with the Big 4 pageants is always something to look forward to, with 2013 giving Aces and Queens Miss Universe 3rd Runner Up Ariella Arida, Bb. Pilipinas Tourism Cindy Miranda and Miss World 2013 Megan Young, KF has in their sleeves Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago, Miss Tourism International 2013 Angeli Dione Gomez and Miss Philippines Earth Angelee Claudett Delos Reyes while John Dela Vega was able to score a runner-up finish with Miss Grand International 3rd Runner Up Annalie Forbes.

 There is also small camps, RL's Angels and Macoy Manlapaz (the man responsible for the discovery of Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul). 

Now with Bb. Pilipinas and Miss Philippines - Earth accepting their applications, it would be interesting who would be fielded in and what they would accomplish this 2014? ,

Mr. World 2014 is at English Riviera this June 2014

The Search for the World's Most Desirable Man continues as Mr. World 2014 is set on June 15, 2014 at the English Riviera. The 8th Edition of Mr. World will saw the crowning of a new Mr. World after Francisco Escobar who was crowned November 2012.

Cory Quirino also owns the rights to Mister World Philippines. For the 2012 edition, Cory appointed Andrew Wolff who was 1st Runner Up to Mr. World Escobar. Your blogger does not know if Cory will do the same this year but I know she has something up on her sleeves.

2013 Miss U joins Miss Universe Philippines 2014 crowning

Reigning Miss Universe Maria Gabriela Isler is reportedly coming to Manila to join the crowning of the new Miss Universe Philippines at the Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Finals Night on March 30. This was confirmed in a news report by no less than BPCI honcho, Madam Stella Marquez Araneta.

While this means sharing the spotlight with Molly, reigning Miss Universe Philippines and Miss Universe 2013 3rd Runner Up Ariella Arida would love to have Molly with her in the crowning. , , ,

There's no stopping Bb. Pilipinas 2013 1st Runner Up and now Official Candidate Pia Wurtzbach in her quest for a crown for Bb. Pilipinas 2014, that is amidst all the bashing she had when she seemed to be not on her best self as she attended victory parties of Ariella Arida and Bea Rose Santiago (she looked to have gained weight after the contest). Now just before pre-pageant activities, we expect that Pia will raise her game to be worthy of the crown, that is all she has in her mind: Do a Janine Tugonon and eye for the Miss Universe Philippines 2014 title.

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Nichole Manalo will try to make Ate Bianca proud

Your blogger has  been a fan of Bb. Pilipinas since the year 2009, more so even after your blogger has spent her internship with Araneta Group where she has met the like of Shamcey Supsup in person. Can't help but look into the 2 younger Manalo sisters, 2009 Miss Universe Philippines Pamela Bianca Manalo and current official candidate Nichole Manalo. The two attended the recent birthday bash of Rodgil Flores (the beauty queen maker leading KF)

Looking through these photos we see Bianca having the slightest edge over her sister if both were to join the same year. However, Nichole's body has the edge over her Ate Bianca, I haven't seen Nichole communicate yet so I can't really know, all I feel now is Nichole will go all out to make her Ate Bianca (and Ate Kate) proud.

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Will Hannah Ruth Sison be given the boot?

Rumor has it that Hannah Ruth Sison, an official candidate to Bb. Pilipinas 2014 will be disqualified by BPCI for conflict on contracts. As based on the photo above, Hannah is an endorser for Globe Telecom, whereas BPCI's Araneta Coliseum has Smart as its major backer. 

There is no official word yet regarding Hannah's fate, but will keep you posted.

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Dianne Querrer and Sherlien Dass disqualified over height?

Two ladies that were dropped out of the Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Top 40 are Dianne Querrer and Sherlien Dass, which are reportedly disqualified due to height limit where both gorgeous ladies are believed to have not made the minimum height and are only 5 foot 4.

Feeling sorry for this two ladies who had the joy of being an Official Candidate taken away in an instant. It seemed like year after year, there are girls who will be subject to disqualifications like Theresa Fenger (2013) due to her racy photos, Paula Bianca Paz (2011) and Sandra Seifert (2009) who was forced to resign just a few days before the coronation night.

I just hope that there will be no more contestants who will get the boot and the Top 40 will remain intact.

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Aiza Faeldonia and Carla Lizardo, game changers?

Aiza Faeldonia: Popular Bet for Miss Universe Philippines 

Two ladies returned to competition after the disqualification of Sherlien Dass and Dianne Querrer, Aiza Faeldonia and Carla Jenina Lizardo. 

Aiza, a beauty queen from North Cotabato is considerably a sentimental favorite to win the Miss Universe Philippines crown this year. All the hyping may do her good as she has showed that she is worthy of being called back.

Carla Lizardo has been in the beauty queen stage as a winner in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2010 and a finalist in Miss World Philippines 2012. She's not yet in my book, but I won't mind considering her for the crown.

 They're now official.
