Miss World Camsur Sub-Pageant: Will the 2 winners be the Final 2 for MWP 2014

A mini-pageant titled Miss World Philippines - Camarines Sur  was recently held in lieu of the Miss World Philippines pageant activities where all the candidates of this year's Miss World PH 2014 participated.

Valerie Weigmann won the title Miss World Camarines Sur, Rachel Peters took the Best in Swimsuit and Miss Photogenic Award.

Last year, Megan Young won the sub-pageant Miss World Philippines Laguna (it was held in Laguna last year) and Janicel Lubina took home the Best in Swimsuit and Miss Photogenic Award. Megan and Janicel ended up to be the Miss World PH and 1st Princess respectively.

Will this be the faith also of Valerie and Rachel? , ,

Binibinis at Enchanted Kingdom

Over 3 weekends which started yesterday, The Binibining Pilipinas ladies will be hosting the Fireworks Competition at Enchanted Kingdom. It will continue today with Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Kris Tiffany Janson, the next weekend will be with Bb. Pilipinas Supranational Yvethe Santiago and Bb. Pilipinas 1st Runner Up Laura Lehmann while the last weekend will be with Miss Universe Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa and Bb. Pilipinas Tourism Parul Shah. 

So if you don't have anything to do during the weekends, you may as well drop by Enchanted Kingdom and see the fireworks competition and the Binibini ladies hosting on those dates.

Gazini Ganados and Rachel Peters: KF's bets worthy of your attention

Valerie Weigmann and Lorraine Kendrickson may be considered as front-runners to Miss World PH but there are others who are indeed trying to pull everyone's eyes from, meet Gazini Ganados and Rachel Peters, Gazini and Rachel are both from KF, though let us admit it, they don't get the public's attention but they can change the ball game once Miss World PH pre-pageant contests continue.

My first pick is actually Valerie Weigmann winning it all, but I would actually like to be wrong this time, if I were to see this 2 ladies on the Finals Night at the Top 5, I would definitely have a hard time to think. Definitely.! , , ,

Kimberly Karlsson for Miss Grand International 2014

Miss Grand Philippines Kimberly Karlsson is already in Thailand to participate in pre-pageant competitions for Miss Grand International 2014 which Finals Night will be held on October 7, 2014. 

 Ali Forbes paved the way, we are hoping that Kimberly Karlsson will equal or place better than Ali, John Dela Vega, franchise director of MGP has not left any stones unturned to capture the first Miss Grand International title.

2 Miss Universe pageants in 2015

Reports has it that there will be 2 Miss Universe pageants in 2015. The first one, supposedly the 2014 edition will be held on January 18, 2015 in Doral, Miami, Florida where Miss Universe Philippines 2014 Mary Jean Lastimosa will be competing while the second one will be held in December here in Manila where the next Miss Universe Philippines will be competing.

There is no official announcement in the Miss Universe Website, I guess we will have to wait, but the prospect of having Miss Universe in the Philippines is as grander as it sounds.

Ruqayyah Boyer for Gouldian

Ruqayyah Boyer is donning Guyana's sash one more time after Miss Universe 2012 and Miss World 2013. She will be leaving a month from now to participate in Miss International 2014 in Tokyo, Japan.

She went to the Philippines to train with Gouldian Atelier (Macoy Manlapaz) for about a week probably because she was a product of 2 international competitions to which projection in front of a crowd may no longer be a question.

What can you say about Gouldian's 1 week transformation of Ruqayyah Boyer? Is she Miss International 2014 ready?

Roxanne Cabanero quits Miss World PH after 2 days

Controversial Roxanne Cabañero quits Miss World Philippines 2014 in her move to free the organization from controversies.  In her open letter says:

 I would like to thank you for your genuine support and for really fighting and giving me a chance to be a part of Miss World Philippines 2014. I admire your generosity for giving me a chance to live the dream I have of becoming a beauty queen. But unfortunately, I have to withdraw from the contest. I am sorry from the bottom of my heart if I have ever caused stir over the controversy I am linked with that smeared and tainted the name and reputation of Miss World Philippines.
I am heartbroken over my decision to withdraw but this is the best way to stop the chaos and protect the name of Miss World Philippines. 

The whole two-day experience being a part of [the pageant] was a blessing and forever will live in my heart. hank you for making me feel so comfortable throughout the screening to final screening. It was a family worth [keeping]. Good luck to all the beautiful ladies joining and I'm proud of all of them.

Miss World Philippines 2014 will be having its final competition on October 12, 2014 at the Mall of Asia Arena where Megan Young, 2013 Miss World will crown her successor to compete in London.

Controversial Roxanne Cabañero makes it to MWP 2014

Amongst the 18 official candidates for Miss World Philippines 2014, Roxanne Cabañero may probably be the most controversial and had a lot of eyebrows raised in the competition. Her controversies have overshadowed the fact that she's still a beauteous, hot and sexy person, let alone she has not been listened to in the Q&A portion of Miss World Philippines just yet.

Truth be told, I had mixed feelings with her inclusion, but I want to see her at least with a better placement than how she did with her first try with Bb. Pilipinas 2011. She might not be winning it all, but a Top 10 finish or a princess sash would be enough I think to vindicate her.

Misters of the Philippines 2014 Winners

It was a successful search indeed for the very first Misters of the Philippines that had separate competitions crowning its representatives in one contest. Neil Perez (the hunk cop that gained Media mileage) was adjudged as Mister International Philippines 2014 following the success of Mister International 4th Runner Up Gil Wagas, Nicko Dela Cruz got the all important 1st Runner Up while Adam Davies was adjudged as Mister Model International Philippines 2014. Completing the list is Joseph Doruelo who was Mr. Global Philippines 2014 and Judah Cohen who was awarded Mr. Tourism International 2014.

New Queens of Dairy Queen

Don't be surprised when you see either Miss Universe Philippines Mary Jean MJ Lastimosa, Bb. Pilipinas International Bianca Guidotti and Bb. Pilipinas Supranational Yvethe Santiago when you buy your favorite DQ ice cream. 

The three BPCI ladies are endorsers of the newest DQ product - the Blizzard Explosion with popping candies (Strawberry and Chocolate). The ladies will be around DQ stores to help promote the product, it will be nice to see them serving the ice cream in front of you. :)

Filipina Beauties for Miss Supranational 2014

We would be seeing at least 4 Filipinas in the Miss Supranational pageant come December, of course, we start with the reigning Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul to be on hand to crown her successor and 3 lovely Filipinas (or descent) vying to be the next Miss Supranational.

Yvethe Santiago, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational will try to do the inevitable back-to-back, along with Mutya Datul's Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Batchmate Zandra Flores who is representing United Kingdom and newly crowned Miss Supranational Australia Yvonne Amores.

Will all 3 be part of the Top 5? That will be exciting to see. , , ,
