Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Who's scared of Nichole Manalo?

I just read the article of Ricky Lo in Philippine Star, Admittedly, Nichole Marie Manalo, 24 is out to chase history which was set by her relatives: her aunt, Nini Ramos was Bb. Pilipinas International 1968, her elder sister Kate Manalo-Hernandez was Bb. Pilipinas World 2002 and Bianca was Miss Universe Philippines 2009. The nurse from Manila Doctors College Batch 2010 wants to prove that she isn't just the baby sister of Kate and Bianca and that packaging by Kagandahang Flores will allow her to win one crown period.

Is she winnable? My thoughts she can place at the Top 5 but definitely a lot of work ahead, but we'll like to give her a chance.

Mister Global 2014: Wilfred Placencia is PH bet in Thailand

Taking a break from Bb. Pilipinas 2014, we go to the male pageants where Philippines is set to be represented in the Mister Global 2014 by Mister International Philippines 2013 1st Runner Up, Wilfred Placencia. The competition is to take place on March 22-27, 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Wilfred is on the same team as Gil Wagas who was Mister International Philippines 2013 and Mister International 4th Runner Up.

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Reigning queens at the JAG Fashion Show

The reigning queens Ariella Arida, Bea Rose Santiago, Mutya Datul and Cindy Miranda joined the 40 contestants in the JAG Fashion Show.

It is just simply fabulous how this ladies had been transformed by Madam Stella Marquez Araneta and the BPCI group in a matter of a year and becoming the best batch (to my memory) of Bb. Pilipinas winners. They may be turning over their respective crowns by March 30, but their achievements will be something memorable for the rest of their lives.

2 of 4 winners will still remain visible though, as Mutya Datul and Bea Rose Santiago will take part of Miss Supranational and Miss International 2014 (where we hope for a back to back, God willing!)

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Ellore Noelle Punzalan and her final push for a crown

She is not majority's favorite, but her performances have finally caught heads to turn for her. Ellore Noelle Punzalan, 26 knows that this is her last shot for a Binibining Pilipinas crown and she is giving her best towards the competition.

Her biggest advantage towards this competition is her competition ready body and her fluent conversational English. I actually do not mind seeing her win a crown this year (not just the Manila Bulletin's Reader's Choice), she can give this ladies a run for their money.

Watch Ellore and 39 other ladies in Binibining Pilipinas 2014 which will happen on March 30, 2014 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Jeffrey Rogador and his modern Filipiniana

We take a break from usual pageant blogging to congratulate my fellow Ruizian, Jeffrey Rogador for his participation in the Bb. Pilipinas Fashion Show. Worn by candidate # 31 Angelique De Leon, Jeffrey took his creativity to another level with a modern take on the Filipiniana. Indeed it was one of the outfits I look forward to in pictures during the fashion show.

Would it be nice if this will have the chance as the Best in National Costume? Just proud of Jeffrey by the way, will go back to the usual blogging in a while.

Two ladies who vied for Bb. Pilipinas Gold are officially candidates to the Miss Philippines Earth 2014. Ana Carmela Aquino, 23 represents Taytay and Mary Rose Pujanes will be representing Santo Tomas, Batangas.

Bb. Pilipinas 2014: Grand Fashion Event this coming Thursday

Mark your calendars for this one. 

On Thursday, March 6, 2014, runways will shine as the 40 candidates of Bb. Pilipinas 2014 and the reigning queens 2013 Miss International Bea Rose Santiago, 2013 Miss Supranational Mutya Datul, 2013 Miss Universe 3rd Runner Up Ariella Arida and Miss Tourism Queen International Finalist Cindy Miranda grace the Smart Araneta Coliseum in a grand fashion event.

While I am not aware of the gowns and the designers, I know there will be a lot of ladies who will own the stage, and for the price of 110 pesos, this is an event you'll surely don't want to miss.
