Reigning Miss Earth Alyz Henrich has arrived in the Philippines Friday to lead the welcoming of candidates for Miss Earth 2014 where she would be welcoming candidates along with Miss Philippines Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell.

Alyz's arrival breaks the stigma of cancellations held recently: Miss Intercontinental 2014 will be moved to Germany (delegate is Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Kris Janson), Mister International 2014 will be moved on a later date in Korea while Miss Universe 2014 (delegate is Miss Universe Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa) is stated to happen in Florida on January 25, 2015.



Miss Earth 2014 will be held in UP Theater on November 29, 2014 where all eyes will be on Alyz she crowns her successor from reportedly 110 candidates joining this year.

A mini-pageant titled Miss World Philippines - Camarines Sur  was recently held in lieu of the Miss World Philippines pageant activities where all the candidates of this year's Miss World PH 2014 participated.

Valerie Weigmann won the title Miss World Camarines Sur, Rachel Peters took the Best in Swimsuit and Miss Photogenic Award.

Last year, Megan Young won the sub-pageant Miss World Philippines Laguna (it was held in Laguna last year) and Janicel Lubina took home the Best in Swimsuit and Miss Photogenic Award. Megan and Janicel ended up to be the Miss World PH and 1st Princess respectively.

Will this be the faith also of Valerie and Rachel?

Valerie Weigmann and Lorraine Kendrickson may be considered as front-runners to Miss World PH but there are others who are indeed trying to pull everyone's eyes from, meet Gazini Ganados and Rachel Peters, Gazini and Rachel are both from KF, though let us admit it, they don't get the public's attention but they can change the ball game once Miss World PH pre-pageant contests continue.

My first pick is actually Valerie Weigmann winning it all, but I would actually like to be wrong this time, if I were to see this 2 ladies on the Finals Night at the Top 5, I would definitely have a hard time to think. Definitely.!

Miss Grand Philippines Kimberly Karlsson is already in Thailand to participate in pre-pageant competitions for Miss Grand International 2014 which Finals Night will be held on October 7, 2014. 

Ali Forbes paved the way, we are hoping that Kimberly Karlsson will equal or place better than Ali, John Dela Vega, franchise director of MGP has not left any stones unturned to capture the first Miss Grand International title.

Reports has it that there will be 2 Miss Universe pageants in 2015. The first one, supposedly the 2014 edition will be held on January 18, 2015 in Doral, Miami, Florida where Miss Universe Philippines 2014 Mary Jean Lastimosa will be competing while the second one will be held in December here in Manila where the next Miss Universe Philippines will be competing.

There is no official announcement in the Miss Universe Website, I guess we will have to wait, but the prospect of having Miss Universe in the Philippines is as grander as it sounds.

Ruqayyah Boyer is donning Guyana's sash one more time after Miss Universe 2012 and Miss World 2013. She will be leaving a month from now to participate in Miss International 2014 in Tokyo, Japan.

She went to the Philippines to train with Gouldian Atelier (Macoy Manlapaz) for about a week probably because she was a product of 2 international competitions to which projection in front of a crowd may no longer be a question.

What can you say about Gouldian's 1 week transformation of Ruqayyah Boyer? Is she Miss International 2014 ready?
