Meet the very first Miss Global Philippines

MGP 2014 Winners


The very first Miss Global Philippines was crowned last Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila. Catherine Almirante of Cagayan De Oro bested 22 candidates to become the very first representative of the country to Miss Global which would occur aboard the Crown Princess cruise ship in December cruise ship sailing from Los Angeles, California to Mexico (Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas) from December 12 to 20.

 Rounding up the Miss Global Top 5 is Sirene Sutton, Lorraine Erum, Cindy Madduma & Athena Catriz.


Congratulations are still in order for Miss Global Philippines Organizers, Ms. Pauline Laping and Miss Earth Air 2012 Stephany Stefanowitz for the success of MGP2014.

Miss Earth Water Punika Kulsoontornrut dethroned

Miss Earth Water 2013 Punika Kulsoontornrut is no longer the reigning Miss Earth Water after she was dethroned by the Philippines-based organizers, Carousel Productions for violating the contract stipulated of a Miss Earth Winner (the crowned queen and the 3 elemental queens). 

Kulsoontornrut was handed a letter informing of her dethronement after joining Miss International, where according to their contract, a Miss Earth Winner would have to finish her year's reign before entering another competition.

According to reports, Kulsoontornrut was given ample time to withdraw by Miss Earth but seemed to have no intention of withdrawing so the dethronement decision has been reached.

Should Polly be part of Miss International 2014, she would be facing off with Bb. Pilipinas-International Bianca Guidotti to try to succeed Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago in Tokyo, Japan.

Valerie Weigmann wins Miss World Philippines, Full List Here:

Valerie Weigmann will be this year's girl to watch out for after being crowned as Miss World Philippines 2014 in a glittering event held last Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Mall of Asia Arena.  Valerie, a front-runner in the competition edged  out 25 other candidates and succeeds MWP2013/Miss World 2013 Megan Young. She would be going to London to try to go back-to-back for Miss World 2014.
Rounding up the Top 5 are Lorraine Kendrickson (1st Princess), Nelda Ibe (2nd Princess), Nicole Donesa (3rd Princess) and Rachel Peters (4th Princess).

Miss Earth 2013 arrives in the Philippines

Reigning Miss Earth Alyz Henrich has arrived in the Philippines Friday to lead the welcoming of candidates for Miss Earth 2014 where she would be welcoming candidates along with Miss Philippines Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell.

Alyz's arrival breaks the stigma of cancellations held recently: Miss Intercontinental 2014 will be moved to Germany (delegate is Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Kris Janson), Mister International 2014 will be moved on a later date in Korea while Miss Universe 2014 (delegate is Miss Universe Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa) is stated to happen in Florida on January 25, 2015.

Miss Earth 2014 will be held in UP Theater on November 29, 2014 where all eyes will be on Alyz she crowns her successor from reportedly 110 candidates joining this year.
