Prime Event Productions Philippines Foundation lead by Mr. Carlo Morris Galang recently posted a photo of the PEPPS Kings with Neil Perez (Mister International 2014), Don McGyver Cochico (Manhunt International Philippines 2015), Karan Singhdole (Man of the Year 2014), Kevin Fichera (1st Runner Up) and AR Dela Serna (2nd Runner Up).

The photo also marks what is an early start for Misters 2016, new franchises and moving forward for this year. Best of luck to PEPPS and to the Misters 2016 The Pageant.

Another year begins for Bb. Pilipinas with the start of Bb. Pilipinas 2016

From their press release states as follows:

"You can have your inspiring story of success as well. Join Binibining Pilipinas! Applications are now accepted starting December 16, 2015, from 10am-5pm, Mondays through Fridays. You may download the application form on www.bbpilipinas.com or drop by BPCI Office located at Uniprom Inc., near Red Gate of Smart Araneta Coliseum. Deadline for submission is on January 15, 2016."

Bb. Pilipinas 2016 will have 6 crowns up for grabs: Miss Universe Philippines, Bb. Pilipinas International, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational, Miss Globe Philippines and Miss Grand Philippines (to which Parul Shah was appointed last year by SMA - looks to me she would be fielded in another Farewell Walk again, which she deserves after performing well in the Miss Grand International 2015 pageant).

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach: Joining Three Times in BBP before bagging MUP

It's almost pageant season again for Bb. Pilipinas, this time with a tantamount of pressure as PH will be in search for a back-to-back crown after Pia Wurtzbach won Miss Universe 2015 (or the likes of Ann Colis winning Miss Globe and Christi Lynn McGarry almost making in 3 for this year by landing 1st Runner Up in this year's Miss Intercontinental).

Pageant fans are in search for new faces, others prefer those who previously were runners-up like Laura Lehmann (I don't know if she really said she intended to join this year's screenings but there is already a strong clamor for her to join since she worked under Jonas Gaffud's Aces and Queens) while others preferred a cross-over like Diana Mackey, whichever way, your blogger believes there is no point in bashing the choices of a fan, we are just fans.

Repeating of joining a beauty pageant is also a risk - take for example Pia, who was a runner up in 2013 and suddenly became unplaced in 2014, only to find herself in the top crown for 2015. But for me, there is no bad taste in the mouth for repeating, after all, a beauty pageant candidate isn't just about the figure but it is about the cause of the international competition they are going to land - to quote Pia's answer, a beauty queen must be "confidently beautiful with a heart."

What a way to end 2015 and start 2016.

Mutya ng Pilipinas Leren Mae Bautista ended the year with a bang by winning the Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2015/16 crown at the Grand Ballroom of Marriott Putrajaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
