Miss Universe Philippines 2013 Ariella Arida recently graced Boy Abunda's Ikaw Na in Bandila. Check out the interview made by the King of Talk to the lady who will be representing us to Miss Universe 2013.

 

 

 

While there is no confirmation yet, Atong Demach, Miss World Africa 2012 was rumored to be handpicked to be Miss Universe South Sudan 2013.

 



 

 

 

2013 will be Osmel Sousa's last hurrah in selecting Miss World Venezuela as come next year, the pageant will be managed by Miss World 2011 Ivian Sarcos. 

It was a dethronement and enthronement for Miss Universe Canada 2013.

A human error or a typo was discovered in the Top 5 of the competition. The typo was first in the 11 years that the Beauties of Canada had produced Miss Universe Canada. BOC had made the correct results:

Miss Universe Canada 2013 ­ Riza Santos (Calgary, AB)
1st runner-up ­ Siera Bearchell (Moose Jaw, SK)
2nd runner-up ­ Diana Martin (Mississauga, ON)
3rd runner-up ­ Denise Garrido (Bradford, ON)
4th runner-up ­ Michelle McKay (Sarnia, ON)

The proclaimed winner, Denise Garrido was just the 3rd Runner Up of the contest, while the true winner of Miss Universe Canada 2013 is Riza Santos, who represented Canada to the Miss Earth 2006 pageant and the Miss World 2011 pageant. Riza succeeds Sahar Biniaz, who despite failing to represent the country in Miss Universe 2012 kept the title Miss Universe Canada 2012.

There would be 2 Filipinas as of this writing in Miss Universe, Riza and our very own Ariella Arida.

Aside from Mutya Johanna Datul, another Filipina to watch out for is former Bb. Pilipinas 2012 candidate Marie Molo Peter, who would be representing Norway in the Miss Supranational 2013 pageant to be held on Belarus on September.

 

Peter, a Fil-Norwegian beauty was elected as second runner up in Miss Universe Norway 2012.
