This year's winners would go to Miss Intercontinental and Miss Tourism International 13/14 respectively. 

 

 

Former UE Basketball Player Gil Wagas, 21 representing Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu wins Mister International 2013 held last June 21, 2013 at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan City.

 

Wagas bested 23 other contestants and would represent the country to Mister International 2013 in Indonesia on November 2013.

 

 

 

Rounding up the top 3 of Mister International is Wilfredo Placencia Jr of Dumaguete as 1st Runner-Up who will be representing the country to Gentlemen Universe 2014 early next year and Jeffrey Sanchez of Bacolod. The event was graced by reigning Mister International Ali Hammoud of Lebanon.

The next Miss Universe will be crowned on November 9, 2013 in Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia. Olivia Culpo, reigning Miss Universe will crown her successor there.

There are at least three ladies with Filipina blood joining the contest, with our very own Miss Universe Philippines Ara Arida hoping that she can continue our successes in the Miss Universe stage for the past 3 years.

 

Suzette Hernandez, 26, a former Bb. Pilipinas 2011 candidate was crowned as Miss Supranational Canada 2013. 

Suzette, standing 1.73 m in height was in the Top 12 of Miss Universe Canada 2012.

She is the 3rd lady with Filipina race who will be participating at Miss Supranational 2013 which would happen on September 6 in Minsk, Belarus.

 

 



Paying respect to their host country, Indonesia which is predominantly Muslim, Miss World 2013 would dump the bikinis in favor of one-piece beach wear called sarongs.

 

A statement from Adjie S Soeratmadjie of the RCTI (Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia), official broadcaster and organizer of Miss World 2013 in Indonesia says:

 

"There will no bikini in this year's Miss World pageant to respect our traditional customs and values. This is a sensitive issue in Indonesia. We have discussed it since last year and they have agreed."

 

Miss World 2013 will be held on September 28 in Bali, Indonesia where reigning Miss World Wenxia Yu will crown her successor.
