Mary Jean Lastimosa: Ready to take on the Universe

2014 Miss Universe Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa is the last 2014 queen of BPCI to compete this year but she's probably the most sought-after lady there is.

How can she not be? It took her 3 tries - a 2nd Runner Up finish in 2011 and a semifinalist finish in 2012 before catapulting herself to the top crown in 2014 and age has caught up with her at 27. However, the experience she gained from joining Binibini 3 times, being exposed to Miss ASEAN 2012 and training under Kagandahang Flores made her the most awaited Miss Universe 2014 delegate.

A 5-peat for Miss Universe is what we pray for, a crown is something we wish for. MJ leaves next Saturday, Januuary 3, 2015 to embark on a journey through pre-pageant events until January 25.

Ziphozakhe Zokufa: New Miss SA 2014 after Rolene's Miss World crowning

Ziphozakhe Zokufa will go to Miss Universe in Doral, Miami as Miss South Africa 

With Rolene Strauss being crowned as Miss World 2014, a new Miss South Africa is named in the person of Ziphozakhe Zokufa who was Rolene's First Princess in Miss South Africa 2014. Ziphozakhe takes over as South Africa's representative to Miss Universe and as the lady who will crown Miss South Africa 2015.

Miss Global 2014 Results: Catherine Almirante of the Philippines is 2nd Runner Up

Miss Canada Ela Mino was adjudged as the Miss Global 2014 at the finals held in the Crown Princess Cruise in its final port in Mexico.

Our dear bet Miss Philippines Catherine Almirante scored the 2nd Runner Up position and a string of pageant's special awards, an achievement for the Miss Global Philippines Organization who is just in its first year.
