On Sunday, May 19, 2013, 48 girls will vie to succeed Stephany Stefanowitz in becoming the next Miss Philippines-Earth 2013 but before all the hoopla of crowning the next queen of the Earth, I think its high-time to acknowledge the reigning queen, Stephany Stefanowitz for an eventful year as Miss Philippines-Earth and Miss Earth Air 2012.
It was Steph's 2nd try at Miss Philippines-Earth She first joined Miss Philippines-Earth 2010 representing Butuan City where she landed a place in the Top 10 (MPE 2010 winner was Kris Psyche Resus). She joined MPE 2012 representing Quezon City. During the preliminary competitions of MPE2012 (the first year where they implemented Challenges), Stephany was one of the few girls that managed to caught the attention of pageant bloggers & fans alike and during the Q&A of the Finals, she expressed herself well enough to nail the title: that's beauty and brains for you.
Her reign along with her elemental court (Glennifer, Samantha, Thoreen and Candice) had brought them to various places all over the country. If you have followed their journey in the official Miss Philippines Earth FB page, you would see that they did their best to helping mother earth, promoting the advocacies of the Miss Earth Foundation and becoming a leader in preserving Mother Nature.
And in November 2012, Steph, despite being bashed by critics managed to prove that she can fare well with the Miss Earth pageant. She was crowned as Miss Earth Air, a placement behind reigning Miss Earth Tereza Fajksova.
To this day, Stephany and her elemental court (plus runner-up Princess Manzon) have been busy with the activities with the Miss Philippines-Earth 2013 candidates. On Sunday, Stephany relinquishes the crown to the lady that would hopefully triplicate the placements she and Athena Mae Imperial (Miss Earth Water) did for the past 2 years.
Kudos to a wonderful reign to Stephany (and her elemental court), the reign may not be perfect but we are sure you did well (& enjoyed it).
