Punika Kulsoontornrut may not crown her successor due to the current lawsuit filed by Organizer IQ Limited which may seem to loss its rights of holding Miss Earth Thailand contest as Nawat Itsaragrisil, president of Miss Grand International seemed to be the new franchise owner of Miss Earth Thailand.
Organizer IQ Limited, the organization responsible for organizing Miss Earth Thailand reportedly ask 48 million baht for violation to the agreement. According to them they have the right to send Miss Earth delegates from 2013 to 2017. Punika Kulsoontornrut is a titleholder under Organizer IQ Limited.
Miss Grand International President Nawat Itsaragrisil meanwhile has shown his certification that he is deemed to be the licensed franchise owner of Miss Earth. He also files a lawsuit asking for damages amounting to 100 Million baht because of the damages incurred by the former Miss Earth Thailand organizers since he is considered as a personality in Thailand.
The Miss Grand Thailand contest pushes through June 17. If MGT wins, Miss Earth Thailand will seem to be lower rank than the newly organized Miss Grand Thailand. As to how this lawsuit will unfold, we may have to wait.
