Kagandahang Flores has been victorious for most of 2014 and just recently, the beauty queen maker Rodgil Flores had a small get-together for the victory of Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific International 2014 Eva Psychee Patalinjug.

Joining Eva in this celebration was Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Kris Janson, Miss Philippines Earth Jamie Herrell, Miss Philippines Air Diane Querrer and Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism Monique Manuel.

TV, radio and the internet has all welcomed P02 Mariano Flormata or otherwise known as Neil Perez as an Official Candidate to the Misters of the Philippines 2014 and with weeks left in the competition, Neil has most probably (or safely tagged) as one of the "to-beat" or "almost-a-title-holder" in the first male pageant brought about by PEPP that brings together Mister International, Mister Model International, Mister Tourism International and Mister Global International.

We probably don't need to predict that he will win one crown - in fact we will be astounded not to. The Finals Night of Misters of the Philippines which will be held on September 7, 2014 in the University of Makati.

For today's Throwback Thursday, let me look back at Miss Philippines (Earth) 2001 and Bb. Pilipinas World 2005 Carlene Aguilar.



Rarely do we see a beauty queen get crowned in 2 different franchises in a span of their life, but Aguilar has did it both with Carousel and BPCI.

A police officer of the Philippine National Police (PNP) aims to become a role model to other cops by joining Misters of the Philippines 2014 pageant.

PO2 Mariano Perez Flormata Jr., 29, of the Aviation Security Group is backed up by the PNP for he serves as an example to all police officers who "want to be fit and healthy while protecting our community from different crimes."

Using the name Neil Perez, he will compete along with 26 other contestants at the Misters of the Philippines 2014 pageant which will be held on September 7 at the Grand Theatre of University of Makati. The 5-foot-11-inch cop will represent the city of Manila.


"This is the first time I would join this kind of contest. I hope I would not fail the PNP which I somehow represent," he said.

"Misters of the Philippines pageant can bring additional opportunities for me in terms of exposure which will eventually help me financially. Through this pageant, I can also show to other people that I can do more aside from being a police officer," he added.

The PNP said keeping the "finest physical and mental fitness" of its personnel is important in their duties as a police, but also so they are "always ready to protect and defend their family and themselves."

A Facebook Page was created to support Perez.

Misters of the Philippines is a male pageant selecting representatives to Mr. International, Mr. Tourism International, Mr. Global and Mr. Model International. It saw the likes of Gil Wagas, Erwin Trinidad and Wilfred Placencia who was successful last year.

Julia Gama formally succeeds Sancler Frantz as Miss Mundo 2014 and has earned the right to represent the country to Miss World 2014 in London. Julia won over 40 candidates and now hopes to exceed what Sancler Frantz achieved in Miss World 2013 where she became a part of Top 5 and was Miss World Americas.

Will Julia escalate Sancler's performance, that we would have to find out come last quarter of 2014.
