Controversial Roxanne Cabañero quits Miss World Philippines 2014 in her move to free the organization from controversies.  In her open letter says:

I would like to thank you for your genuine support and for really fighting and giving me a chance to be a part of Miss World Philippines 2014. I admire your generosity for giving me a chance to live the dream I have of becoming a beauty queen. But unfortunately, I have to withdraw from the contest. I am sorry from the bottom of my heart if I have ever caused stir over the controversy I am linked with that smeared and tainted the name and reputation of Miss World Philippines.

Aside from Roxanne Cabañero which your blogger has introduced as one of the candidates for Miss World Philippines 2014, 17 other ladies were introduced in a press presentation with no less than Madam Cory Quirino overseeing the entire coverage.

There are reportedly 3 more who were supposedly to be announced but would need to get permission from their parents and 4 more coming from the province according to Miss World Philippines Franchise Director Cory Quirino.

Odessa Mae Tadaya, Miss Filipinas Heritage 2014 is asking for your support for the Miss Heritage 2014 competition. The contest is to be held in South Africa and Odessa will do all that she can to win the Miss Heritage Award.

It was a successful search indeed for the very first Misters of the Philippines that had separate competitions crowning its representatives in one contest. Neil Perez (the hunk cop that gained Media mileage) was adjudged as Mister International Philippines 2014 following the success of Mister International 4th Runner Up Gil Wagas, Nicko Dela Cruz got the all important 1st Runner Up while Adam Davies was adjudged as Mister Model International Philippines 2014. Completing the list is Joseph Doruelo who was Mr. Global Philippines 2014 and Judah Cohen who was awarded Mr. Tourism International 2014.

Kudos to the organizers of the Misters of the Philippines!

We would be seeing at least 4 Filipinas in the Miss Supranational pageant come December, of course, we start with the reigning Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul to be on hand to crown her successor and 3 lovely Filipinas (or descent) vying to be the next Miss Supranational.

Yvethe Santiago, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational will try to do the inevitable back-to-back, along with Mutya Datul's Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Batchmate Zandra Flores who is representing United Kingdom and newly crowned Miss Supranational Australia Yvonne Amores.

Will all 3 be part of the Top 5? That will be exciting to see.
