Miss Intercontinental 2014 Results

The 43rd Edition of Miss Intercontinental 2014 will happen on December 4, 2014 at the Maritim Hotel, Madeburg, Germany where Ekaterina Plekhova crowned her successor, Thailand's Patraporn Wang at the end of the event.


This year's Miss Intercontinental Top 3: Kris Janson of the Philippines (2nd Runner Up), Patraporn Wang (Miss Intercontinental 2014) and Jeslie Margal of Cuba (1st Runner Up)


It was of different first, the first time a Top 6 was introduced with Philippines and Thailand tying and PH winning Miss Intercontinental 2014 Asia and Oceania and the first contest that got a lot of people's eyebrows raised because the winner may not have nailed the question right than Cuba or PH, anyway, the event has been finished and Kris had to settle for third place.

 Our dearest Kris also won the Miss Photogenic Award, great start for BPCI's first Miss Intercontinental delegate.

Slowly in anticipation of Miss Universe 2014 in Doral, Miami comes the 2014 Contestants Page to which is filled with headshots and details of the 2014 delegates and truly our Miss Universe Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa is a stunner with her first headshot.

Of Prediction Games: Could I be right this time for Miss World 2014?

Prediction Games is something I try to join for every National/International Pageant Competition and true enough, I join sometimes through the blogs I read, one of them is Norman's Blog which is owned by Norman Tinio, he hosted a Prediction Game for Miss World 2014 and posts at almost every day the updates for Miss Intercontinental, Miss World, Miss Supranational and Miss World. 

He had this dedicated post for Koyal, Valerie and Rolene seated in a table with reigning Miss World Megan Young.

I actually had them in my Top 3 (not revealing the order hihihi), prophetic photo as it may seem but we all wish it to happen don't we?

Miss World 2014: Valerie Weigmann makes it to the Top 10 of Beauty with a Purpose

Valerie Weigmann makes it to the Top 10 of the Beauty with a Purpose, a fast-track event for Miss World 2014 which focuses on the indigenous people of the Philippines. She has already started with a fund raising project called Musikaramay even before filing in her contestant sheet to be Miss World Philippines and winning the crown.


The winner for Beauty with a Purpose will be announced on the show date itself, December 14, 2014 so let us pray that Val will get through the Top 5 of BWAP or win the fast-track event. 

You can still support her through the Miss World Voting app. please do vote for your Top 3 until before the show.

Miss Tourism International 2014/15: Ready for a back-to-back-to-back with Glennifer Perido?

Just as we are busy channeling our thoughts for Miss Supranational Philippines Yvethe Marie Santiago, Miss Intercontinental Philippines Kris Tiffany Janson and Miss World Philippines Valerie Weigmann, there is another lady up to a daunting task of winning back the crown for the country for the third straight year.

Glennifer Perido, Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism International 2014 is up to the task of winning the crown after her predecessors Rizzini Alexis Gomez and Angeli Dionne Gomez. Pressure as it may seem, I know Glennifer does not take it as a toll on her as she will give her best performance in Malaysia.

A back-to-back-to-back is something we pray for, Glennifer has been under our watch way back her Bb. Pilipinas 2011 and her Miss Philippines Earth 2012 days where we were at giddy to see her almost making it, now a title holder with a chance for an international representation, Glennifer will play her cards well enough to be at her best during the Finals Night. Whatever the results may be on the New Year's Eve competition, she can assure herself that she did her best to make her country proud!

Miss World 2014: Koyal Rana on her way to the crown?

With Beach Beauty and Multimedia Fast-track event, Koyal Rana is up and running to probably succeed Megan Young as Miss World 2014.

Check out Koyal's accomplishments which goes neck and neck with Miss South Africa's Rolene Strauss (with no Final Results yet):
  • Winner, World Fashion Dress
  • Top 10, Beauty with a Purpose 
  • Top 20, Top Model
  • Top 10, People's Choice
  • Top 29, Sports
Pretty sure she wants to practically top all fast-track events and bring back to India the Miss World crown.

Andrea Neu: From Miss International 2013 Semifinalist to Miss Earth Air 2014 

Andrea Neu is no stranger to beauty pageants, in fact she was already part of Miss International 2013 Top 15 and when she won Miss Earth United States early this year, pageant fans had her in the book for a greater place in Miss Earth 2014. Indeed, it was a greater placement: a lady who would have won Miss Earth 2014.

There is no love loss for Andrea seeing that Katia Wagner, Punika Kulsoontornrut (before getting dethroned because of joining Miss International 2014) and Catharina Choi all had a fair share of activities aside from the reigning winner Alyz Henrich back in 2013 so for your blogger, Andrea, Maira and Anastasia, Elemental queens of Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell maybe as visible to your eye as the reigning queen.
