With no official updates, I assume that the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 applications is extended. Well, according to forum posters in Missosology, the first callback is stated on February 9.

Miss Supranational 2013 is in... BELARUS!

Katsiaryna Buraya of Belarus will relinquish her crown in her hometown when Miss Supranational 2013 moves to Belarus.

The new Miss Supranational 2013 will be elected in the Sport's Palace of Minsk on 6 September. Arrival date for entering the sight-seeing and rehearsal phase is 17/18 August. The contestants depart from Belarus on 7/8 September 2013.

Philippines already had two bets sent to Miss Supranational, Lourenz Grace Remetillo in 2011 and Bb. Pilipinas 1st Runner Up Elaine Kay Moll in 2012 who became 3rd Runner-up in the 2012 edition.

The Search for Miss World Philippines 2013 is on

Miss World Philippines has joined the 2013 pageant season by having on their website the application form for the 2013 search which would close on May 24, 2013. Follow the footsteps of Gwendoline Ruais (Miss World 2011 1st Runner Up) and Queenie Rehman (Miss World 2012 Top 15) as the ambassadress of the World and compete at Miss World 2013 slated in Indonesia on September 28.

Throwback: Bb. Pilipinas 2011

Bb. Pilipinas 2011 marked the second of what has been three-peat Top 5 placement in Miss Universe with Architect Shamcey Supsup being crowned as Miss Universe Philippines 2011 and eventually becoming 3rd Runner Up in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
 
Dianne Necio, Bb. Pilipinas 2010 1st Runner Up resigned from her contract to be able to compete. She was crowned as Bb. Pilipinas International 2011. She made it to Miss International 2011 Top 15 and won the award Miss Internet.
 
Isabella Manjon was crowned as Bb. Pilipinas Tourism. She competed in Miss Tourism Queen International 2011 and took home the special award Miss Charity.
 
Janine Tugonon and Mary Jean Lastimosa were the first and second runners-up of that year respectively. Both resigned from their titles to compete in Bb. Pilipinas 2012 but had different faith. Janine was crowned as Miss Universe Philippines while MJ was a semifinalist.
 
 
 
 




Deadlines coming, who would pass before January 31?

Relatively 4 days left before the extended deadline of Binibining Pilipinas closes for the girls who are interested to take part of Binibining Pilipinas 2013, We've seen pageant blogs feature those candidates that reached BPCI office, like Pia Wurtzbach, Ariella Arida, Mariel De Leon (daughter of Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong) and many others under the camp of Gaffud, Dela Vega, Flores and other handlers.
 
Are we going to see some more girls this week? That we have to find out. Deadline for Binibining Pilipinas 2013 applicants for screening is on January 31 (I just hope there's no more extension).
 
Reigning queens are Janine Tugonon (Miss Universe Philippines), Nicole Schmitz (Bb. Pilipinas International) and Katrina Dimaranan (Bb. Pilipinas Tourism).

Throwback: Bb. Pilipinas 1999

Bb. Pilipinas 1999 saw a lot of twists, the dethronement of Janelle Bautista (Original Winner of Bb. Pilipinas Universe) making way for Miriam Quiambao (Bb. Pilipinas World turned Bb. Pilipinas Universe), Lalaine Edson (Bb. Pilipinas International turned Bb. Pilipinas World) and Georgina Ann Sandico, who was a part of the semifinalists of the 1999 competition became Bb. Pilipinas International.

Miriam Quiambao went on to be the most successful as she became Miss Universe 1st Runner Up, behind Mpule Kwelagobe of Botswana.

Bb. Pilipinas 2005 for me is one of the successful years of Binibining Pilipinas in the early 2000s. Gionna Cabrera (Miss Universe Philippines 2005) went home with 2 special awards from Miss Universe 05. Carlene Aguilar (Bb. Pilipinas World) was a Miss World Semifinalist and Precious Lara Quigaman was a big winner as she went back to the Philippines as Miss International 2005.
